Pre-workout Coffees
Bulletproof coffee has been around for a while now. Adding healthy sources of fat to coffee can provide energy, improve cognitive function and even boost metabolism. It also tastes great. Here is our take on bulletproof coffee. Perfect before an early morning workout or an important meeting.
Combine the following and blend for 10-15 secs. Warm the blender before using to help keep the coffee hot.
- 300ml brewed coffee. Use Maximum Charge for best results.
- 1 x dessert spoon of organic, grass-fed butter
- 1 x teaspoon spoon of MCT oil
Optional - Stevia or other sweetener to taste
Salted Caramel Paleo Latte
- 300ml brewed coffee
- 1 x dessert spoon organic coconut oil
- 1 x dessert spoon Cacao Butter
- Small pinch of sea salt
- 2 x stevia tablets or teaspoon of Agave nectar to sweeten
Blend for 10-15 seconds and enjoy.
Coffee in Protein Shakes
Coffee is a great addition to a protein shake. Adding some much needed caffeine can help create a quick and easy breakfast or an awesome pre-workout snack. Here are a couple of our favourite recipes. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blitz for 30 seconds.
Vanilla Cannonball
- ½ ripe banana (frozen)
- ½ cup milk (we prefer almond)
- 1 cup room temperature or cold brew coffee
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- Dash of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 2-3 ice cubes
Flying Chocolate Mocha
- ½ ripe banana (frozen)
- 1 cup room temperature or cold brew coffee
- ½ cup milk (almond or coconut works particularly well)
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 dessert spoon raw cacao powder
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 2-3 ice cubes
