Cold Brew Coffee
Cold Brew coffee is made by steeping coffee in cold water. It is different to iced coffee where coffee is brewed with hot water then chilled.
Using cold water means the coffee takes on different taste properties. It is really smooth, low in acidity and much sweeter.
The simplest way of making cold brew is in a Hario Cold Brew Pot. It takes all the guesswork out it.
All you have to do is fill the mesh basked with 50g of medium ground coffee then add 650ml of fresh water. Leave in the fridge for 8 hours then remove the basket. It is that simple!
Other methods:
Theoretically you can make cold brew with anything that can filter coffee. A cafetiere is a popular method - add coffee and fill up with cold water. Give it a stir then leave in the fridge overnight. Plunge the coffee in the morning to filter it.
